Music Lessons
At Riverbend Strings, we offer lessons on learning how to play the violin, viola, cello, double bass, electric bass, guitar (acoustic and electric), piano, and drums. We can also possibly accommodate other instruments if you make a request.
If you don’t know where to start or what you’d like to play, come for an intro lesson and we can talk about the different options and check them out to help you decide.
Learning music at Riverbend Strings is meant to be a joyful experience. Learning an instrument can be very challenging, and our approach is meant to foster each students’ inherent motivation to keep learning and pushing through the challenges, while keeping the energy positive and fun.

Skilled Teachers
Our teachers come from a variety of musical backgrounds, with their own education history and unique approaches to musical style, teaching style, expression, theory, etc., offering potential students the choice of a teacher that they really feel will match their energy, learning style, and musical goals.
We will talk with you ahead of your first lesson to get a general overview of your goals for your lessons, and decide together on a teacher that we feel will be a good fit. From there, you will have a no-cost 25-minute trial lesson with that teacher to get a feel for what to expect. After your trial lesson, we will reach out to determine if you’d like to continue working with that teacher. We aim for a comfortable energy as much as possible between teacher and student.
